Not all granite is created equal. Like any other harvested product it comes in a variety of quality grades and prices. Some of the most commonly used granite grades are: First Choice - Commercial Quality - Second Quality

As you could probably guess, most of the very low-priced granite you've seen advertised is usually from the lowest grade. While there is nothing wrong with purchasing 'Second Quality' stone, shops not disclosing it leave customers with an intentionally false impression the granite is First Choice. If you shop granite prices, make sure to compare equal grades! |
